The Salute To Music Program, also known as the Borough Wide, is now in its 54th year of operation.  This is a totally cost-free and fully sanctioned program of the New York City Department of Education.  We rehearse every Saturday, from 8:45- 11:45 at Russell Sage IS 190 ( 68-17 Austin Street, Forest Hills, NY).  Our concert season runs from October to May.  The annual Spring Concert is held in M.S. 137 in Ozone Park. and we are honored  to  occasionally be able to have the concert in the world-famous Carnegie Hall.

Any student who is in middle school and who plays a conventional band instrument ( flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, baritone horn, trombone, tuba, percussion ),  or orchestral string instrument ( violin, viola, cello, bass ), and has at least 1 year of playing experience is eligible to audition for our program.   Sorry, no guitar, nor keyboards.
