Introduction

The general goal of this short course

This module fits within a larger course on mobile learning (mLearning). QR codes are increasingly used in education, as well as in other fields (health, marketing, engineering,...).

The surrounding skills necessary to use and develop QR codes are closely linked with other mLearning skills and applications. As such learning how to use and develop QR codes form a good basis to understand more about mLearning and some of its basic skills and concepts.

What will you learn in this module?

What can you expect?

This module will take you on a step by step journey to discover the realm of educational benefits that QR codes offer.

The module is split into three major topics:

• Unit 1. A general description of QR codes (this unit consists of 8 pages);
• Unit 2. How to install a QR code on your mobile (yes, hands-on, hooray! - this unit consists of 11 pages);
• Unit 3. And how to build a QR code and fit it with the content of learning material you choose (this unit offers you 9 pages of content).

Each of these topics has an information part and self-assessments.

At the end you can take the summative/round-up quiz to see which knowledge stuck to your mind.

BUT, the most important way for you to know if you have fully grasped QR codes is when you manage to install a QR code reader and develop your own QR codes.
