Greetings! My name is Qian Lu. I am a fourth year PhD student in Economics at the University of Texas at Austin. I earned my MA in Economics at the University of Boston, and my BA in Economics and English Literature at Beijing Foreign Studies University.
My main research interests are labor economics and public finance. I am also interested in financial economics and game theory.
Currently, I am working on the impact of skill-biased technological change (e.g. computerization/internet development) on wage and employment in the United States. I have also worked on the impact of individual skills and education on labor market outcomes by comparing two cohorts educated in the 1980s and 1990s, and the impact of macroeconomics news on the monetary and financial markets of U.S..
