            Use dominant image

                        Creates point of entry

Dominance not always from a photo

 

YOU HAVE 3 SECONDS

 

Fonts can look professional or completely undermine the ad

            Stick to just one or two basic fonts, no novelty

            One sans serif one serif

            Keep typography consistent     

 

Color can also be a point of entry

            Use color as a visual punctuation in the design

 

Take away the obvious

 

Find balance between positive and negative space

            DON’T USE REVERSE TEXT EXCESSIVELY

 

Bulleted lists work

            Blocks of text do not

 

Use SINGLE SYLLABLE WORDS

 

Design with white space in mind

            Can create point of entry into ad
