Composting in the PV Garden

posted Apr 15, 2013, 9:02 PM by Gregory Hartt

Hi everyone,
We are starting our composting materials collection in the PV Garden. There are now labelled plastic bins near the peach tree for you to deposit garden waste and kitchen waste. Please be careful to follow the instructions on what you can place in each bin.

Most importantly, please do not leave any meat, fish, bones, dairy, oils, or fats in the food bin. The best kitchen waste for composting will be chopped up vegetable and fruit scraps and old bread.

Thanks for you help in getting together what we need to start composting for our garden!
