About Us

Pure Meditation exists to bring the community the opportunity to learn basic and advanced techniques in the life-enhancing and affirming practice of meditation. 
Pure Meditation, the school, was born from the instruction in meditation and training as a teacher of meditation that I received from my teacher, Hans van Latenstein.
The creator of “Authentic Meditation”, Hans van Latenstein, developed this method as a way to make meditation available to all, regardless of one’s religious or philosophical beliefs. Hans states, “It is harmonious and compatible with everyone’s background because it doesn’t require new beliefs to practice it.”

Hans, who is from Holland, has taught and been instructed in many forms of meditation all over the globe. He created this method by drawing together the best qualities of his favorite meditation techniques. 

This technique is similar to the most well-known meditation methods, however Pure Meditation is completely unaffiliated with any particular religion and does not use religious language, words, or phrases to be repeated or chanted.

This is an easy-to-learn and immediately beneficial form of meditation. 

Instructional cost is a fraction of other popular meditation classes being offered.

WHY MEDITATE?

You have probably been hearing and reading for the past couple of years how meditation is being recommended to patients by health care practitioners as a way to reduce stress and the effects of stress: high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, insomnia, overweight, fatigue, moodiness, angry outbursts, depression, anxiety, mental fogginess, muscle and joint pain, immune system weakness, addictions to food, alcohol, cigarettes, caffeine, and recreational drugs.

The Class

In this course, you will be taught user-friendly techniques for successful meditation enabling you to reap the benefits mentioned above!  You will be able you to immediately begin a meditation practice, even if you have failed in the past. This class is taught in two one-hour sessions, one week apart.  Week One will introduce you to meditation and give you full instruction on the basics.  Week Two will follow up on your experiences of applying what you learned in Week One, plus advanced meditation technique. 

The Cost

The rate for one-on-one instruction is normally $120.00, for the course of two one-hour sessions. 

 Through  September (2017)  I am offering a discount of:

  • $21 for one-on-one instruction; final cost $99
  • $25 per person in a group of two ($74 final cost per person), or 
  • $35 per person in a group of three participants ($64 final cost per person), or 
  • $45 discount for a group of four participants ($54 final cost per person).

Participants are responsible for assembling their own group.  I will help as much as is possible, but will need your help.
