posted Feb 23, 2012, 9:23 AM by Purdue SVO SVO

Purdue SVO is working on drafting legislation that will excuse Purdue student service members who are actively drilling with a military unit. We are trying to push the issue and require service members to be fully excused from class while on military orders.

Our past Vice President, Bryan Morris was granted a great honor for his graduating class; he was named Student Responder for the Fall 2011 Commencement.

Bryan Morris, a senior in building construction management from Greenwood, S.C., was the student responder for Purdue’s afternoon commencement, Dec. 18.

After the address from Purdue President France A. Cordova, Morris addressed graduating seniors from the colleges of Health and Human Sciences, Pharmacy, Science, Technology and the schools of Management and Veterinary Medicine.

Also during the ceremony, Purdue awarded posthumous bachelor’s and associate degrees to Sean Matti. A double major in organizational leadership and supervision and industrial technology, Matti died July 3, 2011.

2011 Grant Competition

posted Jan 27, 2011, 1:22 PM by Dylan Meadows   [ updated Jan 27, 2011, 1:25 PM ]

PSVO placed first in the Spring 2011 grant competition and were awarded $2000 in funding from Operation Diploma for the coming year.

It goes without mentioning that our group would not be as successful as we are without the help and support of our members.  It was your hard work, commitment, and overall enthusiasm to be a Purdue Veteran that has gotten us where we are.

Thanks to everyone for an outstanding job!
