Jeffrey Punske

I am an assistant professor at the Southern Illinois University-- Carbondale.  I was previously employed at the University of Oklahoma and Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.

I work primarily on the interfaces, broadly defined.  My work touches on the interaction between syntax, semantics, morphology and phonology.

Most recently, I have been concerned with the relationship between morphological regularity and syntax, verb particles, stress and the interfaces, as well as the semantic/syntactic status of arguments in complex predicates.

I am passionate about teaching.  I have taught courses on syntax, semantics,  morphology, phonology, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics among other topics.

I believe that academic work should be open and accessible.  I am always willing to share my research and my teaching materials.  If you see something that interests you that isn't already available, shoot me an email.
