The first ever Psychology in the Pub Sheffield was a great success!

Thank you to all those who came to our first event, we estimate that about 55 people came to the Showroom last night. Dr Sue Jamison-Powell led a really interesting discussion about online friendships and we had fantastic input from attendees; providing us with insightful anecdata, asking fantastic questions and helping us cover a wide range of psychological topics. It was fantastic to have so many people providing us with insight about how they use this new technology and how it changes the way we manage relationships. Sue, Meg and myself were absolutely delighted with how the evening went and really appreciate your contribution to making this a success. We will add the presentation and any other notes of interest to the 'Documents' page and the book I mentioned on this topic can be found here:
We also appreciate your feedback. We recognise that the layout of the room isn't ideal and will work to improve on that, possibly moving into the main room in the future. We'll have more microphones at the next event so that more people can join in the discussion and we'll make sure we schedule a break! If you have any more feedback/suggestions for future topics please e-mail us or use the comments form on this website. You can do this anonymously by entering a single character into the name and e-mail fields.
The next session's details are on our Events page. Over the coming months we look forward to talks from Cal Cooper and a special guest discussing parapsychology and Dr Keon West from University of Leeds speaking to us about conflict and resolution. Check back for more details.
