After Dr Anna Weighall's brilliant discussion on October 11th's Psychology in the Pub I know many of you will be eager to take part in the Big Memory Experiment. Here are the files along with Anna's instructions on what to do with them:
Materials for Session 1, the Evening Session (this is the session we did during the talk but provided here in case you missed it. DON’T RUN THIS FILE AGAIN IF YOU EXPERIENCED IT LAST NIGHT.
This is a powerpoint file. When you click on the link, you will see a window that will ask if you want to open the file or save the file. We recommend that you open the file first and then save it to your desktop.
Materials for Session 2, the Morning Session
This is also a powerpoint file. As with the first one, when you click on the link, you will see a window that will ask if you want to open the file or save the file. We recommend that you open the file first and then save it to your desktop.
Experiment Score Sheets
These are word documents that you can use to record your responses on the test. You can either type your responses into the individual files and save them on your computer or you can print them out and write your responses. Alternatively, you may find it easier to simply write your responses on a piece of notebook paper, napkin, cereal box, or banana peel.
You should download this file after you have completed the entire experiment. This is a word document that will enable you to score your responses on both tests and to calculate your sleep memory score. Once you have scored your date please enter it into the google doc here:
