Welcome to the public webpage of the SUPERB project!
SUPERB is a SUrvey for Pulsars and Extragalactic Radio Bursts. It is a revolutionary large-scale astrophysics project using several telescopes, high-speed GPU analysis codes, a large supercomputer and artificial neural networks to identify new astrophysical discoveries! In particular pulsars, and explosions in space known as Fast Radio Bursts (FRBs).
Our mascot, is a superb fairywren, a bird commonly found in New South Wales. You might bump into one if you were at the Parkes or Molonglo Telescopes.
