Murphy is an autonomous surveillance robot developed by Phong Truong.  The robot is designed to survey a room and look for its intended target using an onboard camera.  Once the target is acquired, the robot will lock onto its target and position itself to fire using an onboard projectile system. Murphy is able to perform obstacle avoidance using a combination of sonar sensors, bump sensors, and an IR sensor.   

The Murphy Project is a course project at the University of Florida's Intelligent Machine Design Lab (IMDL), directed by Dr. Arroyo and Dr. Schwartz, with TA's Tim Martin and Ryan Stevens.
