Why Join ?

The Point Chevalier Sailing Club (PCSC) provides support and encouragement to like minded people of all levels of skill who can come together and have fun. PCSC has old boats, new boats, old sailors and new who turn up rain or shine all year.

The club offers good access to a safe environment where you cannot get lost at sea and there is always a rescue boat nearby in case you have a problem. Regular debriefs allow you to learn, teach or just laugh at the inevitable mishaps or triumphs.

PCSC does race but in a totally friendly way.  Club sailing days are typically every 2nd Sunday to suit the tides. Also check out our Learn To Sail program which operates in Term 1 and Term 4. Many of our junior sailors have graduated from Waterwise and moved into their own boats. Our emphasis is on developing skills and having fun and friendly racing. Parents are actively encouraged to assist on the beach and support boats and families are always welcome at the clubhouse to watch the racing.

Club members enjoy a social night on alternate Sundays through the summer. Members are welcome to join this informal jaunt around the bay and afterward enjoy the sunset and a barbecue. On Saturday, if the tide is high and the weather is fair, our destination sailing group might head to a nearby beach or local marine feature. Club boats are available for use if they are not being used in the Learn To Sail Program.

Sailing at Pt Chevalier is affordable, companionable and you get out of it what you put in.
