Pumpkin Splat

THE DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN EVENT OF THE YEAR!   November 5, 2017

Pumpkins drop at 3:30 p.m.

What happens when you have a 100 foot tall fire truck ladder and a supply of old Halloween pumpkins? That's all you need for The Pumpkin Splat at Vanderhoof Elementary School. With the help of the Arvada Fire Department, The Pumpkin Splat is lining up to be the best and biggest yet.

To enter for a chance to have your pumpkin splatted to the ground, students can do the following:

·  Pay $5 per entry with all proceeds benefitting Serving Kids from the Inside Out

·  Donate an item to the Food Drive for the Arvada Food Bank or the Foothills Animal Shelter

All entries can be submitted at Vanderhoof starting Monday, October 24th through Friday, October 28th. Names will be drawn during the morning Halloween parties and all winners must be present to drop their pumpkins. Students can enter as many times as they want by paying $5 or donating an item to the food drive; with each item given equaling one entry of their name for the drop. However, their name can only be pulled once to drop their pumpkin.

Even if you don’t win the chance to see your pumpkin dropped from Arvada Fire Truck #56, you can still bring your pumpkins to splat in our games area on Saturday and join us for some pumpkin fun! All our smashed pumpkins are sent to Wild West Ranch as a treat for the animals to enjoy.

We look forward to the biggest and best, and of course messiest Pumpkin Splat of the year.

The 2017 Pumpkin Splat will be co-chaired by Hans and Cory Glauth to keep this tradition going.
