Reflections Program Overview

The Reflections Arts Recognition Program is a national arts recognition and achievement program for students.

The Reflections Program provides an excellent opportunity for students of all ages to:
  • Unleash their creative talents and be inspired
  • Express themselves imaginatively in their artwork
  • Experience the joy and fun of making art
  • Tap into critical thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme
  • Receive positive recognition for their original works of art
There are six arts categories—dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts. Students may enter the Reflections Program in one or more of these arts categories, for up to a total of three projects with only one project per category.

How do I enter?

  • Step 1: Pick up a REFLECTIONS STUDENT PACKET by the stairs to the cafeteria which contains important information, official rules, and an entry form needed to enter the program. You can also visit the Jeffco Reflections website for additional information about the program by clicking the following link: scroll down and click the STUDENTS tab at the bottom of the web page.
  • Step 2After carefully reading the RULES, think of an art project idea that ties to the theme. There is a limit of ONE ENTRY PER ART CATEGORY PER STUDENT. (i.e. a student can submit both a visual arts entry and a literature piece, but cannot enter two visual art pieces)
  • Step 3: Create your entry!
  • Step 4:  Prepare your art piece for turn in. Fill out an ENTRY FORM for your project and carefully follow the instructions for PREPARING PIECES FOR TURN IN.
  • Step 5: Turn in your entry in the Reflections Box located near the Art Room by 4:00 PM, September 24, 2018. No late entries will be accepted.
Remember entries are from individuals. Group projects will not be accepted.
