Why join the Brookfield Elementary PTA?
The Brookfield Elementary PTA is a partnership between families and teachers to help enrich the lives and the learning environment of all of our students. Everyone is welcome to join! Parents, grandparents, teachers, staff - ALL members of our Brookfield community are invited to be a part of the Brookfield PTA. Your membership dues will help fund important PTA-sponsored programs and initiatives that are not available through the Fairfax County Public School budget, such as assemblies, field trips, student enrichment programs, family fun events and much more!
The PTA is here to advocate for our students, support our teachers, and connect with the community. Here is what we did in the 2022 - 2023 school year:
Fundraised over $30,000 for field trips.
Given $3,500 to the teachers and staff of Brookfield for classroom supplies, teaching aids, books, and other items.
Financially supported other school expenses such as the 6th grade party and t-shirts, field day treats, the Science Fair, as well as various appreciation events for staff, crossing guards, and custodians.
In addition to these monetary contributions, the PTA is:
Providing support in promoting activities and information for our Family Engagement and Parent Resource Centers.
Boosting community morale through various activities such as outdoor movie night, International night, BINGO night, after-school programs, the science fair, the 6th grade party, and restaurant Spirit Nights.

The Brookfield Elementary PTA can only continue to offer its support to our students with the help of concerned and dedicated families like you! Here's a breakdown of where your membership dues go: The National PTA receives $2.25; and The Virginia State PTA receives $1.00 to support national and state initiatives and legislative efforts relating to public education. The remainder of your dues stays at Brookfield Elementary School, supporting our children and teachers.
The PTA is a non-profit organization.
