An institution with a difference....

Govt. Madhavi Thankachi High School was established in 1950. It is in Ooruttukala on the outskirts of Neyyattinkara, the land which gave birth to great nationals like Swedesabhimani Ramakrishna pillai, Veera Raghavan, Bodheswaran, Neyyattinkara Vasudevan and Neyyattinkara Mohana Chandran.  The School under the Department of General Education, Government of Kerala is named after the mother of Dr. G. Ramachandran, the famous disciple of Gandhi and a former cabinet Minister of India. The land for the establishment of the school was donated by him. The School was upgraded as a high school in 1965 as part of educational reformation in Independent India.

The evergreen fields of Neyyattinkara flanks the four sides of this school and the southern side merges into the beauty of Neyyar. The birth place of Dr.G.Ramachandran and Smrithi Mandapam of Dr.GR are very close to the school. Swedesabhimani Park and Neyyattinkara Sree Krishna Swamy Temple are hardly 500 meters away from the school. Truly the School has the congenial atmosphere for proper teaching and learning.
