Baseball Leagues


Leagues consist of teams organized by age or grade level. Teams will only play other teams within their respective league. When registering a player, please be sure to identify the correct league.


T-Ball:   5-6 year olds

Coach Pitch:   7-8 year olds

Minors:   9-10 year olds

Majors:   11-12 year olds

Juniors:   13-14 year olds 
Baseball Seasons and Schedules


PRYSA (PRYAA) supports a spring season each year. The spring season typically begins the week after the school spring break and opening day is two weeks after spring break.  Generally, players can expect up to two weeks of practice before games begin.  Coaches set practice schedules for their teams.  Players will be notified by their coaches after registration is closed and team rosters have been developed.  Clikc on the links below for the Spring 2014 game schedules.

Please submit payment in the form of a check (written to PRYAA) or cash with the registration form. Payment can be submitted by mail to PRYAA, P.O. Box 1149, Priest River, ID, 83856, at identified sign-up locations or in person to the baseball commissioner.  For insurance reasons, players will not be allowed to play until a registration form is completed and submitted and payment is made.  Fees cover a team and individual photo, a medal, insurance, equipment and incidental costs such as field maintenance, Porto-potties and advertisements.

Baseball Equipment  
All players must have cleats and a glove.  Players in the Minors through the Junior leagues are required to have an athletic supporter with a cup.  Batting helmets and bats will be provided by the league.  Before purchasing a bat for your player talk with the coach or commissioner on regulations and specifications.

Baseball Team Sponsors


Businesses and individuals are encouraged to sponsor teams. Sponsors will get their names on a team's hats. The cost to sponsor a team is $300. If interested, please mark the registration form accordingly or contact the baseball commissioner.



Pend Oreille Valley ALL STARS 

Major and Minor teams will be selected from committed players to compete in three all-star tournaments during the summer.

Chataqua Days – Chewelah, Washington                        July

It takes many hours of volunteer labor to make for a successful baseball season and volunteers are always needed. If you are interested in helping out with any of the following areas, please contact the baseball commissioner:


Coaching, umping, field layout and line maintenance, snack shack operation, mowing, litter pick-up after home games.


Frequently Asked Questions


Will late registrations be accepted?


No. Registrations will only be accepted during the registration period.


My child has the size and skill to play in the league above his grade level. Can I request he be put at the higher level?


Players will be placed in a league based on their age or their grade level. Any exceptions to this rule will be based Commissioner and Coaches evaluation for the individual player.
