Orthotics enhance your skiing from the feet up. It is a sturdy foundation for your body.
Orthotics can enhance performance and comfort in ski, snowboard and telemark boots as well as everyday shoes. Orthotics are custom foot beds that add arch support and stabilize the foot. They aid alignment centering the knee over the center of the boot assisting skiers that may favor one turn over another. By being centered over your ski boots you are centered over your skis making turning right and left equally easy. Orthotics for winter sports are made out of a semi-rigid material that can be transferred from boot to boot and can last well over a decade. Walking orthotics help align a person's knees over their feet and can help reduce abductions and adductions. They reduce pain and stress caused by everyday walking or running and can help in a variety of sports. Keith Holmquist, who has certification from Masterfit U, Northwestern and NYU, is a custom orthotic specialist that has been building orthotics for over 30 years. He has had experience working on patients with a variety of needed accommodations. Keith has worked for medical companies such as Peterson Laboratories and uses the most effective methods of creating custom orthotics. Keith uses fully moldable Instaprint material and all orthotic work is done on site. Your molds are not shipped out to a laboratory off site that only knows you by a number and adjustments take weeks to get completed. At The Pro Ski And Ride we do all posting and adjustments on site while you are in the shop. We can tailor the orthotics to suit your needs. Ski orthotics are $225, however they are only $150 with boot purchase from The Pro. For walking orthotic pricing please call us at (518)-263-5303.
