The Academic Program Officer for Academic Initiatives will focus on improving the success of a diverse graduate student community. This position will work together with a talented team of program officers and managers, support staff, and graduate assistants. The Academic Program Officer will work in close consultation with the Director of Graduate Student Success and provide systematic support to faculty throughout the University as they address issues related to the academic success of 8,300 highly qualified and diverse graduate students.
Demonstrated program development experience in higher education is necessary with a minimum of five to seven years overall work experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required, including a specific focus on experience with grants management and diversity. Familiarity with graduate education is necessary; an earned doctoral degree is preferred. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, who can build collegial relationships with students, faculty and staff both inside the Graduate School and across the University.
The target salary range is in the mid-$60,000s to mid-$70,000s depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
