Welcome to The Promethean

News

  • What's up?
So the Promethean In-Clan Tourney #4 didn't happen, mainly due to me being too sick to stay awake until 9 o'clock. The Community have been a bit quieter than usual lately, but the Clan Wars showdown is announced by Exodus at least. Maybe we could sign some people up for that. As far as I know new people can sign up for it as well.

Other than that Uber seems to be working with save/load from anywhere currently, which doesn't interest me much as I like to play shorter multiplayer games. After that they are apparently aiming to get asteroids into the game.

Headcrab is planning a tournament, I think, so if you see him around, ask if you can help out! I know he has been asking around for a bit of help.

  • Promethean In-Clan Tournament #4
Alrighty folks, the Promethean In-Clan Tournament #4 is near!

Answer this strawpoll about when you are available, and we'll select the day (evening) when most people are available.

The tournament will, as usual be a 1vs1 swiss tournament of 4 or 5 rounds. For the people who don't know, we usually don't play for a prize, but for practice and fun.

Let's get on par with the new meta!

(If you aren't available on any on above times, say something in this thread!)

  • Communication and Teamwork in Planetary Annihilation
My article was published just now on exodusesports.com! YAY!

The article is a rather long text where I try to elaborate on how I and Killander, The Swedish Duo, communicate during a 2v2 game.

Let me know what you think of it!

  • The Evil Twins Finals have been fought
For those of you who missed out on the action, check out this link to the Uber Forums for more info about VODs when they become available.

The tournament was not quite what I had expected. The new massive balance patch was released just a few days before the tournament, which lead to few players being able to use the meta really good.

    Here comes the spoiler:

Congrats to KillerKiwiJuice who won the tournament!

Congrats also to the challenger Gregorianmonks, who whooped Yaegz butt in the first round. Very impressive!

All in all, a fun tournament to watch, because of the excellent casting crew and the very talkative Twitch-chat, but not a good reference for starting builds or strats in the current meta.

  • The Evil Twins Qualifier has ended
...and sadly, a Promethean member did not win, gregorianmonks did.

Headcrab, however, fought in the semi-finals and lost to Belladar 1-2.

There we're 9 Promethean members signed up for this event, but for some reason only 5 turned up, and only 4 of those got to play due to PAstats being a bit weird.

Regardless, the tournament was interesting to watch, in particular when you had so many friends in the tournament to cheer for. The casts were reasonably good, stream 1 was actually the AI developer of Uber Entertainment along with the old King of the Planet PAG_Matiz.
