FindAGrave Quality Check

What is this?
Find-A-Grave ( is a resource for finding the final resting place of family, friends, and 'famous' individuals.  These memorials can be created by individuals through entering them at the Find-A-Grave website.  Since the data entry is a manual process, there can be errors.

This program will read a tab-delimited file created on the Find-A-Grave website that contains data from memorials that you have created and do some basic quality checks on them. You can verify names (first, middle, last, maiden and nick), verify dates, check for duplicate memorials and for memorials with no pictures added.
  1. Download the attached zip file.
  2. Unload the three files into the same folder. It can be any folder but they must all be in the same one.  The files are:
    • FAGQual.exe (program)
    • FAGQual.HelpText.txt (Help index)
    • FAGQual.HelpText.rtf (Help text)
The FAGQual.HelpText.rtf is a Rich Text Format file. It is what is displayed if you use any of the 'Help' buttons. You can also import it into your word processor and print it.
