The main structure is done!

On Memorial Day weekend the Icarus team put in several long days to get as many things done on the project as possible.  The main accomplishment was the attachment of the booster fins, which essentially means the rocket can be flown.  A few small adjustments must be made, such as canting the fins to an appropriate degree and attaching the rail guides.  However, Icarus finally looks like a rocket.

Other items accomplished were the finshing of crates for the transportation of the fin cans, finishing of the manufacturing of parts for the payload ballast box, and the fixing of the lab computer.  Progress was also made on the umbilical attachments.

Icarus' payload still requires work before it reaches flyable status, so most of the team's efforts will be with the payload during the rest of the summer.
