Spas

Spas

Devet je stotina sutona želelo jednu radost,
Dok sam živeo
Zaboravljen, napušten, prezren,
Gažen ko most nad vodom.

Tek jednog večera
Kroz blesak poslednjeg zraka
Mlada meseca, sokova i voda,
Ugleda duh zanesen
Kako večernji oblak dobiva oblik i svest,

Salvation

Nine hundred twilights desired a single joy,
While I lived
Forsaken, forlorn, disdained,
Trampled as a bridge across the water.

Yet, one evening
Through a flash of the last beam
Of the young moon, juices and waters,
The spirit enthralled saw
An evening cloud assuming a form and mind,
The immense sky opening up and with its
Unsurmised glitter
Taking away, for good, a miserable breath.
And Salvation, which a pursued beast hopes for
As much as a man,
Imparts with its light and intransient harmony:
That nobody is forsaken and alone.
