Amber Lovell is a doctoral candidate at George Mason University, her fields of interest are educational policy and instructional technology. She holds a master's degree in history and a master's degree in education from Binghamton University. She worked for five years as a history and government teacher at Osbourn High School in Manassas, Virginia. She is now a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, supporting learning initiatives with the government. Through George Mason she has designed online courses for The Online Academy and she is currently a student reviewer for the International Journal of Education Policy and Leadership
