Project ChildWood is a play on words drawn from a phrase we coined on a recent paddling trip.

As we share tales of our wilderness experiences and childhood adventures, we found this to be true; The most fun we had as kids is when we were outside running through the woods splashing in and around the lakes and rivers near our homes.  It seemed we were always on some grand adventure while in the woods, hence the name of our project: ChildWood.

This is your opportunity to share ones passions with youth; whether it be making something with your hands or taking it to the extreme and heading deep into the wilderness, We would love to hear about your adventures and include it in our news section! - Contact us

To speak truly, few adult persons can see nature. Most persons do not see the sun. At least they have a very superficial seeing. The sun illuminates only the eye of the man, but shines into the eye and heart of the child. The lover of nature is he whose inward and outward senses are still truly adjusted to each other; who has retained the spirit of infancy even into the era of manhood. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
