I am an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department at the Federal Institute of Bahia (IFBA), in Santo Amaro, Bahia, Brazil. My broad research area is Software Engineering, and my specific interests include software Technical debt, Software Visualization, Software Evolution and Educational technology. I am a member of the Software and Systems Engineering Laboratory (LABES2) Research Group at UFBA/IFBA/UNIFACS/UEFS and Technical Debt Research Team (UNIFACS/UFBA/IFBA/IFCE). I am the Leader of the Besouras Digitais Group at IFBA.
I received my D.Sc. degree from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), in 2018, and my M.Sc. degree from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), in 2008. And I graduated in University of Vale do Rio Doce (Univale), in 2005.
I worked as a substitute professor at Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG) and in the software industry (as a developer, analyst, manager and consultant) before becoming a professor at IFBA. I participated in the elaboration and execution of scientific initiation projects in and in industry. Furthermore, I am easily adaptable to changes and new challenges, and have good communication skills and relationships with people.
