I am an ARC Laureate Fellow, Director of the Centre for Transformative Work Design, and Professor of Management & Organisations in the Curtin Business School.

I carry out research, teaching, and consulting in the area of organizational behavior and work psychology. My research interests include 
job and work
designproactivity at work, and employee perspective taking. Other areas of interest include mental health, organizational change, team working, self-efficacy, leadership, and measurement of impact.

I am currently an Associate Editor of the Academy of Management Annals, and a past Associate Editor for the Journal of Applied Psychology, a past Representative at Large for the OB Division of the Academy of Management.

Prior to my current position, I was a Professor at the University of Western Australia,  and before that, I was the Director of the Institute of Work Psychology, University of Sheffield. Earlier in my career I was a Professor and an Associate Dean of Research at the Australian Graduate School of Management.
