William Sewell (PhD, University of Kansas) is associate professor of English Education and Composition at Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. Dr. Sewell taught in Kansas public schools for twelve years. During that time, he earned the USD 290 Teacher of the Year Award and the Kansas Association Teacher of English Outstanding Teaching Practices Award.
His research interests include manipulative rhetoric, 70s and 80s cinema, Young Adult Literature, Middle/Secondary English teaching methods, and teaching with AI. His hobbies include reading, woodworking, and walking his dogs, Penny and Diggory.
