The following table of contents reflects Professor Hart's contribution to 'Teaching' at Howard University during the six years under review as documented in greater detail here.

2009/10
  • Taught 4-5 classes each semester in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • In the fall 2010 semester Hart directed "Zooman and the Sign" written by Charles Fuller,
  • Taught 2 classes during summer school in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • Coordinator for the Playwrights in Process Visiting Playwright's Workshop Series.
  • Served as interim coordinator Theatre Education major.
  • Served as coordinator for the Playwriting major. 
  • Provide advisement and mentoring to undergraduate students.

2010/11
  • Taught 5 classes each semester in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • Taught 2 classes during summer school in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • Coordinator of the Playwrights in Process Visiting Playwright's Workshop Series.
  • Served as interim coordinator of Theatre Education.
  • Served as coordinator for the Playwriting major. 
  • Provide advisement and mentoring to undergraduate students.

2011/12
  • On sabbatical during fall semester 2011. 
  • Taught 5 classes spring 2012 semester in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • Taught 2 classes during summer school in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • Developed new content and methodology for new course content in the course Creative Drama.  The content was shifted to exploring the introspective study of increasing individual and group creative aptitude within both a dramatic/applied acting technique and non-dramatic context.
  • Reworked methodology for new course content in the course Contemporary Trends.  Utilizing comparative analysis techniques with local, national and international theatre productions framed around religious, social, economic, cultural and political trends.
  • Guided and supported students through ongoing advisement sessions.
  • Extended learning beyond the classroom through student attendance at local theatrical productions followed by analysis and discussion.
  • Facilitated the VisitingPlaywrights Series with invited guest playwrights. 
  • Served as coordinator for Playwriting major. Final year that Playwriting is offered as a major.

2012/13
  • Taught 7-8 classes each semester in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • Taught 2 classes during summer school in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • Guided and supported students through ongoing advisement sessions.
  • Extended learning beyond the classroom through student attendance at local theatrical productions followed by analysis and discussion.
  • Facilitated the Visiting Playwrights Series with invited guest playwrights. Final year for Playwrights in Process Visiting Playwrights Series due to funding deficit.
  • Served as coordinator of Playwriting minor.

2013/14
  • Taught 5-6 classes each semester in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • Taught 2 classes during summer school in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • Guided and supported students through ongoing advisement sessions.
  • In fall 2013 completed process to rename Creative Drama course to become "Creativity in Life and Theatre" along with transitioned course methodology.
  • Extended learning beyond the classroom through student attendance at local theatrical productions followed by analysis and discussion.
  • Served as coordinator of Playwriting minor.

2014/15
  • Taught 4 classes each semester in the Department of Theatre Arts.
  • In the fall 2014 semester Hart directed the departmental production, "Spunk" written by George C. Wolfe
  • Guided and supported students through ongoing advisement sessions.
  • Extended learning beyond the classroom through invited guest lectures with artist scholars working in the professional arena. Also continued student attendance at local theatrical productions followed by analysis and discussion.
  • Served as coordinator of Playwriting minor.
