Samsung WMN1000B

A DOZEN REASONS WHY THIS TYPE OF MOUNT SUCKS!!!!!!!

1. they actually suggest mounting your tv to the sheetrock using only 2 toggler anchors.
I don't doubt that the toggler anchors can handle the weight, I have done extensive overload and failure testing
to find out what they are capable of, so I use at least 3 of them when i'm mounting to sheetrock.

2. Samsung sells them for $250, I can get them for $15. (i guess it isn't really a reason
why the mount sucks, but something definitely sucks about that)

3. It uses only the top two bolt holes to hang from, but not all tv's are designed to support
their entire weight with only two bolt holes.

4. it will only work on tv's that have a 15.7" (400mm) horizontal bolt hole measurement.

5. there is nothing locking the tv to the wall, in the event that someone was trying to take
your tv off the wall, there's nothing to even slow them down much less stop them.

6. no adjustability, wherever you put it, that's where it goes. if you notice, after mounting it,
that it is not perfectly centered, even if it's just barely off, tough luck, you have to
    remount it.

7. just like the pictures on your walls, slamming doors can move the tv, or in two story\
houses where there is a room above where the tv is, stomping around hard enough can
also cause the tv to move, so expect that you may have to re-level the tv regularly.

8. tv's are designed to vent off heat exhaust, many are even equipped with cooling fans on
the back, blocking or even just crowding these vents can effect the tv's ability to dissipate
heat and may actually shorten it's life expectancy, it's for this reason alone that I
personally will never use an ultra low profile mount of any kind.

9. the two round brackets that bolt to the wall have channels that are lined with sharp
edged little tabs that the cable has to push through in order to seat proplerly in the channel,
when taking the tv down, upon pulling the cable out of the channels the sharp tabs tend
    to damage the cable.

 10. if the lowest profile possible is what you're looking for, there are other mounts
that get closer than this one does.

SO I CAN ONLY COME UP WITH 10 FOR NOW,
THAT'S STILL MORE THAN ENOUGH TO DISCOURAGE ME FROM EVER USING THIS MOUNT.

This doesn't mean that I won't mount someone's tv with it, if that's what they want.
I actually keep a couple in stock just in case,

and besides, this is just my stupid point of view anyway.
 (although intense examinations were performed)

more details regarding overload and failure testing are coming soon.
