FAILURE: no

DAMAGE: one of the screws was slightly bent (but not outside range of acceptability)

CONCLUSION:

- This mount can support more than a quarter of a ton without flinching

- 2 inch drywall screws (x2) are adequate for securing the "support bar"

- This mounting solution is practically free in regards to the materials cost  (just under $5 makes about 4 of them)
