For many years, my local pharmacy was located near the corner of Shlomo haMelech and Ben Gurion.  One day last month, I found it had closed down.  At the next pharmacy over, I learned that the quiet pharmacist with the French accent was in fact a very well-known and respected artist, Eliahou Eric Bokobza, who finally shut the shop and converted it into a studio.  Last weekend, I learned more from a feature article in HaAretz Magazine: http://www.haaretz.co.il/hasite/spages/1157313.html [and in English: http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1157427.html].

Go see his exhibition at the Nachum Gutman Art Museum, Rokach 21, Neve Tzedek: http://www.gutmanmuseum.co.il/Exhibition.aspx?ExhibitionAlias=Exhibition_166 [you can toggle between Hebrew and English]

Have a look at his website as well: http://www.ericbokobza.com
