Many of you have seen the television series, which (amazingly) makes the claim that English people had sex in the sixteenth century:

There is also a film, The Other Boleyn Girl (2008), in which both Boleyn sisters are played by Jewish girls -- Natalie Portman (born in Jerusalem) and Scarlett Johansson (yes, she is Jewish).  Henry VIII is portrayed by Eric Bana, who although not Jewish, did play the Hulk, so he is eminently qualified to take on the role of England's greatest king.  Oddly enough, the other Boleyn girl gets involved with the other Henry VIII when Woody Allen takes charge.

I haven't seen the TV series...and I probably never will.  But I would like to recommend an old 1970 BBC series, 'The Six Wives of Henry VIII'.  I saw it in 'real time', and it made a huge impression on the young me.  You can find bits of it on You Tube, and you can buy it on DVD.
