Psychohistory: Is it Dead? Or Just Sleeping?

Fads come and go in historiography.  Psychohistory had its moment.  It came upon us with Young Man Luther: A Study in Psychoanalysis and History by Erik H. Erikson (1902-1994), published in 1958:
