Life of Howell Harris (1714-1773)

I sometimes think of how difficult it must have been for poor Howell Harris, trying to set himself up as a proto-Methodist holy man, but still living with his mother and working out of her house in Trefecca, near Hay-on-Wye on the Welsh border.
 
It reminds me of the Life of Brian, the mythical Jewish lad born in the stable next to Jesus, whose life was a comic parallel to that of the Messiah, as portrayed in the classic Monty Python film from 1979.  I suppose this is what it was like for Howell Harris too:
