Bruce Stafford is Professor of Public Policy at the School of Sociology and Social Policy, The University of Nottingham. He has over 30 years experience of applied public and social policy research. Before joining Nottingham University in February 2006, he was a social and policy researcher in local government and at the Universities of Birmingham, Loughborough and Salford. He was formerly Director of the Centre for Research in Social Policy, Loughborough University. His research interests focus on social security and evaluation studies.
He has a PhD (Urban and Regional Studies) from Birmingham University and a BA (Social Sciences) from Middlesex Polytechnic.
