Global Product Management TalkTM is a weekly mini-product camp Socratic discussion (on Twitter) of pre-posted questions (on Facebook) with live audio of thought leader and co-hosts commenting (on Blogtalkradio).

Cindy F. Solomon (San Francisco) and Adrienne Tan (Australia) co-host a weekly twitter chat on all things Product Management related. Each week we interview a Product Management expert who leads us in discussing a particular topic. The Product Management expert will tweet answers to pre-posted questions during the hour, while everyone
chimes in on the tweet stream.  All content is available after the event.

The Global Product Management Talk was conceived by Cindy F. Solomon, a San Francisco Bay Area certified product manager and embraced by Adrienne Tan, founder of brainmates, an Australian product management company, to bring international product managers together with experts in the field.

Solomon explains two things that prompted her to tweet out a request to collaborate producing a product management twitter talk:
"Online, I attend pertinent twitter talks with hundreds of people in an ongoing quest to "listen" to the market and engage in the discussions. The conversation and connections continue beyond the event. Offline, I participate at numerous events like Product Camps, where product management, development and marketing people come together for a day to share expertise and experience. I decided the time had come for product managers to use social media to share their knowledge and connect."

In Australia, Adrienne Tan responded to Cindy's tweet request to provide an avenue for Product Managers to converse and debate on a global scale. "brainmates is a team of passionate Product Managers that are looking for new ways to enrich the Australian Product Management community. ProdMgmtTalk on twitter gives the Australian product management community a weekly opportunity to interact with international colleagues."

Solomon curates the guest speakers, identifies the Twitter talk focus, posts questions to ponder, and invites participation via social media.  The speaker is invited to join with Cindy and Adrienne on a Skype conference during the event to discuss twitter comments, although active participation is taking place digitally within the twitter stream.  After the event, the transcript is made available and participants are encouraged to expand upon their statements and insights by blogging to continue the conversation.

ProdMgmtTalk is a weekly virtual twitter discussion/gathering of people who identify as professional product managers AND those who are responsible for managing poducts from inception through launch, AND people with the title and/or in the department of "Product Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Product Management" AND people who develop products, are responsible for products, are concerned with the success of products and companies that produce products!
