Well, if you haven't realized yet, I am Andrew and this is my homepage. I created this website in during the summer of 2010 to share information about myself, past research projects, and what I am currently working on. This site is still very much a work in progress, but feel free to look around and explore what I have already finished.

  • Time flies!
Wow... it's incredible to look back and see how far I have come in the past two years. A lot of good things have happened to me then and I believe more good things are just around the corner. In the past two years I have graduated from undergrad, I am working on thesis research for my masters at Wafe Forest University, and now I'm looking at possible destinations to do my PHD work at. I need to gather a total body of work and I figure this is as good a place as any. Over the next week I will be adding any relevant research projects or information PHD schools might find interesting about me.

  • Complete!
Okay, all of my pictures have been uploaded. I have also uploaded the two flight videos to you tube and embedded them into the video page. All of my documents have been uploaded from Auburn and of course I will update if I present at any conferences or gain any publications from my work. Right now I'm working on a resume that I can post here as well.

  • Wrapping things up
Right now there are two days left in the REU program. One of those days will be used to give our final presentations. I am currently finalizing the testing of my collision avoidance algorithm and will add those results to my paper. Look out for my final paper and presentation to be posted as well as new photos!

  • Pictures
Okay, I finally got a picture viewer that I liked. Now that I have a nicer viewer, look for me to add more photos in the near future. I'm also trying to add videos from our afternoon flying sessions. The best way I have found to do this is to upload the videos to Facebook and then embed them into the website. This is a quick and simple solution, but if I have time to come up with a better way to display the videos, I will do so.

  • Final 2 Weeks
I'm currently in the last two weeks of the REU program at Auburn University. We are currently field testing the UAVs, the ground control station, and the collision avoidance algorithm. In the last week of the REU, I will complete my research paper and publish the final draft to the website once it's done. I also hope to add several videos and pictures we've taken during our various tests and hopefully from our final demonstration (fingers crossed). :)
