THE HISTORY OF PRO-BROCKPORT
The organization began in early March 2010, as a group of about 50 citizens who were against the proposed dissolution of the Village of Brockport. For several months, the controversial issue was debated in public meetings and dominated the news media, leading to a referendum vote on June 15, 2010. The dissolution was defeated by a vote of 911 to 645. Pro-Brockport has continued to meet and form sub committees to work on various village issues. Organized formally as a Political Action Committee, Pro-Brockport strives to function efficiently and effectively with transparency to the public.
