We Come Unto Christ By Repenting When We Make A Mistake

Talk Submitted By: Crystal Lindeman, Farmington, UT

I have a little brother and he really likes to play,
But sometimes I get grouchy and tell him to go away.
It really hurts his feelings and makes my heart sad too,
So I put my arms around him, say “I’m sorry” and “I love you.”

My Heavenly Father wants me to be the best that I can be.
So when I’m wrong, and say “I’m sorry”, I feel Him smiling down on me.

I love the friends I have but sometimes it’s hard to share,
So I take my toys away from them
and run and hide upstairs.
My mommy, she reminds me that I wasn’t be fair,
So I take my toys and give them back and
tell my friends I care.

My Heavenly Father wants me to be the best that I can be.
So when I’m wrong, and say “I’m sorry”, I feel Him smiling down on me.

When Jesus Christ was on the earth
He taught us to be nice,
To love our friends and family and neighbors all a like.
When I follow His example and spread my love around,
It’s not hard to say “I’m sorry”,
for that’s where real love is found.

My Heavenly Father wants me to be the best that I can be.
So when I’m wrong, say “I’m sorry”, I feel Him smiling down on me.
