An Angel with Wings

I send the sunlight to embrace you,

now a small bundle in your bed;

I watch your little hands

so peacefully laid to the side of your head.

I send sweet dreams

as I watch your smiling face;

I watch your little toes move across the sheet,

embellished with lace.

The love you give is still yet but new;

Your parents have imagined what was life

. . . before you

For though heaven has one less angel

to sing sweet songs,

I have created you so delicately

and placed you where you now belong.

For your song is being written

each day as you live;

I have faith in your parents

the lyrics to give,

for they too, see

An angel with wings.
