Mrs. Epstein- Reform Movements

Books are a great resource for all academic research. You can be assured that the information you find is books is accurate which is pretty important! There are two PAC's (Public Access Catalog) you have access to with your library card.
  • BELS- the school library catalog offers materials available from the Park Ridge school library and 38 other school libraries.
  • BCCLS - the public library catalog offers materials from the Park Ridge Public library and 76 other public libraries.
Databases are another resource you can trust without evaluating. The following will be useful for this project:

Using the Internet for research should be your last resort. If you do use sources found on the internet you must evaluate before you decide to use the information. You must include a web evaluation form for any site that you use that is not listed on your assignment sheet. There is a list of pre-approved and evaluated webpages on Mrs. Epstein's Fusion page that do not require a form to be filled out. Sources
Primary sources are original records created at the time historical events occurred or well after events in the form of memoirs and oral histories. Primary sources may include letters, manuscripts, diaries, journals, newspapers, speeches, interviews and memoirs.

This assignment requires you to have four primary sources.
Please see the Primary Source page for additional information as well as links to primary resources.
Too avoid plagiarism you must include citations!

Remember- the library is open after school till 3:30 if you need a space to work or get some research
