RALLY IN THE VALLEY!

Join Us on Saturday, March 21st at Noon at the Corner of North Main Street and College Avenue in Blacksburg in Opposition to the Mountain Valley Pipeline!

Come join students and community members of the Blacksburg and New River Valley area in resistance to this project which threatens the health and integrity of our social and environmental well-being.

Until the MVP is IN the ground, we all have a chance to keep it OUT of the ground. Let's stand together to achieve this goal!

MARCH 8 FUNDRAISER FEATURING SARAH GUTHRIE AND JOHNNY IRION!!!!

Preserve Giles County hosted a fundraiser Sunday, March 8 at the Newport Recreation Center. Sarah Lee Guthrie, the daughter of Arlo Guthrie and granddaughter of Woody Guthrie, performed for us at our inaugural fundraising event. Kat Mills opened the show, and Preserve Giles staff was on hand to provide information and letter writing assistance before the show. It was was a huge success!! It was a great evening of community and coming together, and we are honored to have the Woody Guthrie legacy of social justice on our side.

Stay tuned for more upcoming events, including film screenings, concerts, information sessions and letter writing workshops, this spring.
