Details: In 1891, William Haberfield, a very reliable source of information, told the Evening Star reporter that Mrs Garrett came to New Zealand with her husband in the same boat he arrived in, the 'Micmac', 17th March 1836. Mr Garrett was a sawyer by trade and went away again in the brig, the same trip, taking his wife with him.
