Mr. John Burrows has had a number of leading roles in city development in the UK over the past 25 years. Mr. Burrows has been Chief Executive of two special purpose urban regeneration companies in the UK (the City of Newport in South Wales, host to the 2010 Ryder Cup, and Walsall in England) and, for 10 years, Deputy Chief Executive of a London Borough Council covering Stratford (now the 2012 Olympics site) and the Royal Docks part of the London’s Docklands development area. Mr. Burrows has been Regional Director for the UK Government’s urban and rural regeneration work in Bristol, Plymouth and South West England (‘English Partnerships’, which now part of the HCA and the South West RDA). John has also been Chief Executive of the company responsible for delivering the prestigious and high profile World class opera house and arts centre in Cardiff Bay - the Wales Millennium Centre – a catalyst for further successful waterside development.
