I work in the domains of computational and experimental hydraulics and hydrodynamics. I am interested in conducting experiments on shallow flows in open channels and pressurised flows in closed conduits, and validating numerical models against experimental measurements. My research is multidisciplinary, involving fluid mechanics across both mechanical and civil engineering. Essentially, I am interested in quantifying and characterising energy losses, unsteady friction, momentum transfer, and turbulence in both free-surface and pressurised flows, using both experiments and numerical simulations. I am also working on complex hydrodynamic phenomena such as sediment transport, reservoir sedimentation and river morphology. Additionally, I am actively working on mitigating pressure surges in liquid pipelines, including those with single-phase and two-phase (air and liquid) flows. Several research papers have already been published, and a few are currently under submission.
