About

I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting (Education) at the School of Accountancy, Singapore Management University (SMU). Currently, I serve as the co-director of the Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) program.

Prior to joining SMU, I received a Master in Professional Accounting (M.P.A.) in 2011 and a PhD in Accounting in 2017 from The McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin. I also obtained a B.B.A. in Accounting from Thammasat University, Thailand, in 2007. My prior work experience includes an audit assistant at KPMG (2007-2008) and an accounting instructor at Thammasat University (2008-2009).

My research interest is financial accounting (earnings management and disclosure), managerial accounting (contract theory), and accounting education. My research has been published in the Journal of Accounting and Economics.

I am a Certified Management Accountant (US CMA) and a Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis (CSCA). I am also the recipient of the ICMA Board of Regents CMA Gold Medal Award and the ICMA Board of Regents CSCA Gold Medal Award for achieving the highest CMA exam and CSCA exam scores globally.Â
