Pilgrimage to Ganondagon 2007

In August 2007 sixteen Prairyerth members and friends went on a Pilgrimage to Ganondagon near Victor, NY to visit the site where the Peacemaker met the Mother of the Nations and where she is buried.  A large Seneca village of several thousand grew up on the site and was destroyed by the French and Herons in the 17th Century. We camped at Letchworth State Park along the Genessee Gorge, communed with the Little People, visited Mary Jemison's cabin and a replica of a longhouse.  We also held teaching lodge and many ceremonies.  In summer 2012 we again followed the path of the Peacemaker on pilgrimage to Cohoes Falls, NY.  The third Peacemaker Pilgrimage will be held in 2015 or 2017.
