Revolution 2017

Students will post daily pictures and comments about what they have seen and learned so that parents can follow the trip.


Because we have to approve all requests to join the group, we are asking you to join now!

Happy New Year!  Do you have new health insurance information?  Please send a copy of updated health insurance cards to Mrs. Powers (room 135) or email to gina.powers@browardschools.com.

Please scroll to the bottom of the page to download and print the Medical Authorization form.  


A doctor’s signature is required on the Medical Authorization form for ALL medications (prescription and over-the-counter) your child may need including Benadryl, Tylenol, ibuprofen, dramamine, etc. If your child has food or environmental allergies, please make sure to include the necessary over-the-counter medications in addition to an epi-pen (if necessary) to treat any reactions. As chaperones have to physically carry all medication, we are requesting travel-sized OTC meds in original sealed containers. All prescription medications must be in their original prescription containers with appropriate labeling.   Students who have asthma or allergies should carry their own Epi-pen and inhaler if needed.


Medication Checklist

  • Medical Authorization form with doctor’s signature

  • Provide all medications listed on the form

    • Sealed, travel-sized containers for over-the-counter medications

    • Prescription medications in original container with appropriate labeling

  • All medications & authorization form placed in a ziplock bag with child’s name clearly printed


Please drop off form and medications in the front office.  The last day to bring form and medications will be at our final trip meeting which will be held a few weeks before the trip.

Revolution 2017 will take 8th-grade students through historical sites in Boston, Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and Washington, DC.

Due to the cost of flights exceeding our anticipated budget, the dates of the Revolution 2017 field trip have changed. (original dates: 3/18/17-3/24/17)
